BIOGRAPHY

Melanie is a Hell-Born Demon, ie; a demon that didn’t originate from a single corrupted human soul, but born from the energy given off by the many corrupted souls in hell. She tends to find life on the surface more interesting than in Hell since she doesn’t have any important purpose down there and tbh Hell kind of sucks even for demons. Too much bad mojo, Melanie says. She’s pretty chill and prefers to live every day like the homeless equivalent of a couch potato. She likes teasing people and freaking people out but in general, she’s really just pretty mellow. The only thing tying her down to any given location is her dozens of adopted rat children who sleep with her in alleyways.Mel has been living in 'America' since about 1750. She’s never met Satan, but she refers to him as “Dad”/"Daddy" either way, probably just to rub it in. She’s really into fashion, shoplifting, and cool memes. Most nights are spent in an alley with a trashcan fire, canned food, and rats. She loves her rats.She’ll flirt with boys to get things she wants out of them, but generally will not form romantic attachments to them. She loves kissing women.

age 19, mel was a previous player a the reaper’s game, but she opted to become a reaper after playing the game for a single day and finding missions tedious and exhausting. she abandoned her partner, but didn’t feel bad about doing so until it was much too late. the illegitimate daughter of a rich entrepreneur, she only got to see her father on rare occasions, but the moments she spent with him were the best days of her life. even though he kept her a secret, he cared very deeply for his daughter as she was growing up. melanie often bragged about his status as both a way of feeling closer to him, and trying to get freebies in life. the memories of her interactions with her father were her entry fee, which she never got back, as she forfeited her game. she remembers that her father was rich, but doesn’t remember his name or that she’s ever met him. thinking she didn’t have much going for her in her life, she found it much more interesting to be a reaper than to try to win her old life back, as she was homeless and living on the streets, and all memories of the only person who ever cared for her were wiped from her memory. she was supposed to grow as a person by finding her own identity outside of her father’s status, but permanently losing her fee has lead to the opposite effect, making her brag about him more frequently as a defense mechanism for never knowing her father.she doesn’t take her new job very seriously, and is constantly slacking off. she’s often ‘punished’ by being put on wall duty, but that doesn’t seem to bother her, and she often uses it to her advantage, asking players to bring her things that she wants to get through. most often, this is some kind of snack. she prefers any kind of pizza, as well as the hot dogs from spain hill. every once in a while, she’ll ask a player to buy her a new hoodie because she’s spilled ketchup and/or mustard all over her current hoodie. half of the time this occurs, however, players return to see her already in a new hoodie, announcing that they took too long so she ditched and got a new one for herself, commenting that if they had been faster, they would have been able to sneak right on by since she left the way wide open in her absence. being a low level reaper, she can’t summon very powerful noise, but this doesn’t bother her either. she summons rat noise, and only rat noise. she loves rats. lets be honest her noise form is just a slightly larger than average rat with devil horns.overall, she’s very chaotic neutral and doesn’t particularly care what anyone else does, players and reapers alike. she’s not out to get anyone, but she’s not above using anyone for her own pleasure or gain.

(wip) melanie was a succubus living under dracula vlad’s rule until lisa died and dracula declared war. despite frequently joking about, alluding to, and threatening death/harm on people, she’s admittedly not big on fighting, especially not for a war she sees no reason for. she defected after war was declared, though she never officially admitted to anyone that she was doing so. she essentially went “oh, war? okay, well, i’ll be right back, guys” stole all of the castle’s bread and just ran away. she’s indifferent to monsters and humans alike, despite being a demon herself, and will often help out belmonts on their quests to slay dracula if she comes across them. she has a bit of a personal vendetta against dracula, since she basically lost her home because of him.

(01). i’m morton (like the salt), but i also go by my cool gamer handle, prog/progfox, and some other nicknames. mort and morty are fine but don't call me mortimer.(02). i’m a 29 year old (april 13 1996) nonbinary trans boy. i use they/he pronouns, and im neurodivergent (autism & adhd) + mentally ill (ask for clarification if wanted, big scary diagnosis list that makes every new doctor i see tremble in fear).(03). i created melanie back in 2012 along with a bunch of other ocs, and she's the one that's really stuck with me all these years. she's very near and dear to me, even though i tend to have a hard time writing her(04). my neurodivergeny & chronic illness have a really big effect on my life and general functioning. i have really bad social anxiety, i am very socially unaware, and i often misconstrue or misunderstand things without tone indicators or further clarification. i hope that you can be patient with me. i really do love talking to people and making friends!! i'm just so, so anxious and intimidated by everything and everyone. i promise i'm trying my best.
